Is Vueling Airlines reliable?
In a nutshell, they are! Vueling Airlines is a subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG), which also includes British Airways and Iberia Airlines.
In terms of safety, Vueling Airlines is also legitimate.
Except for a few bird strikes and on-ground engine problems over the last 18 years, the airline has never had an accident. Vueling adheres to the high safety standards established for European airlines.
Furthermore, the airline has consistently been ranked as one of the safest low-cost airlines in the world. When you travel with Vueling, the last thing you need to worry about is arriving safely at your destination!
Who is the owner of Vueling Airlines?
Vueling Airlines is part of the International Airlines Group (IAG). Vueling was officially purchased by the multinational airline holding company in 2012.
While many people believe Vueling Airlines is a subsidiary of British Airways, this is not the case. Nonetheless, Vueling Airlines and British Airways are partners, as are other IAG airlines.
Vueling Airlines flies to where?
In its early years, Vueling Airlines operated two Airbus320 aircraft that flew to three select European destinations and a single airport in France. Today, it travels to 140 destinations across multiple continents!
Vueling promises to “open up a world of possibilities” for its passengers and has continued to expand its network of destinations. You can currently view its web map, where you’ll find a list of the current places the airline flies to and from under All Vueling Destinations.
How Does It Feel to Fly with Vueling Airlines?
Traveling with Vueling Airlines is exactly what you’d expect from a low-cost carrier. Nothing fancy, but your basic needs are met if you select the appropriate package for your needs.
In terms of legroom and space, the seats are adequate for the price. If you need more space, you can pay around 100 euros to upgrade to the Excellence Service. You get more legroom, no one in the middle seat elbowing you, and a complimentary snack.
Furthermore, almost all Vueling aircraft are equipped with Wi-Fi. Depending on the activities you want to do during the flight, Wi-Fi packages range from 3 to 5.99 euros.
Does Vueling Airlines provide food and beverages?
Unfortunately, unless you’ve purchased a business-class ticket, you won’t be able to eat anything for free on your flights.
While Vueling Airline’s business class offers food in flight, only free snacks are provided.
During your flight, however, you can purchase food and beverages from their extensive menu. The menu includes a variety of items such as full-course meals, snacks, desserts, beverages, and alcohol.
The prices are also reasonable, so if your stomach begins to grumble, call the crew and grab a bite.
What Do Others Think of Vueling Airlines?
Vueling Airlines has a rating of 2.5/5 on Tripadvisor, based on over 27,000 reviews. So, why are people so dissatisfied with this airline, despite the fact that it is relatively inexpensive?
The majority of negative Vueling Airlines reviews are due to late departures and arrivals. The reviews also chastised Vueling Airline for booking issues as well as the quality and timeliness of their customer service team.
It’s not all bad, though. Around 14,000 reviews rate their Vueling Airlines experience as average to excellent. Many people have praised Vueling Airlines for being accommodating and providing excellent value for money.
What is the luggage policy of Vueling Airlines?
As previously stated, there is a limited baggage allowance under packages depending on the ticket you purchased. Even if you have more luggage than your package allows, all is not lost.
Extra under-seat baggage costs EUR 30 at the check-in counter and EUR 40 at the boarding gate. If your luggage exceeds the under-seat dimensions (40x20x30 cm), you’ll be charged EUR 50 at check-in and EUR 59 at boarding. The same is true for more than two hand-carry options, regardless of package type.
Check-in luggage weighing more than 25 kg will cost EUR 12/kg. However, this is only permitted up to 32 kg; this is the maximum weight limit for a single piece of check-in luggage per passenger. Vueling Airlines provides an additional benefit of carrying special luggage that does not fit in your bags. The rules state that you can only bring one piece of special luggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg.
What is the luggage policy of Vueling Airlines?
With Vueling Airlines, you can use their online check-in system. Complete the step-by-step process, add the necessary documents, and pay for additional luggage to avoid delays at the airport. You can do this anywhere from 7 days to 4 hours before your flight.
Do you want to check in at the airport? It’s not a problem. Vueling Airlines opens its check-in desk 2.5 hours before flight departure and closes it 40 minutes before departure. The boarding gate, on the other hand, closes 10 minutes earlier.
Is there a cancellation and refund policy at Vueling Airlines?
Assume you are unable to travel on your scheduled flight due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case, Vueling Airlines’ cancellation and refund policy provides several options.
To begin, you can change your flight for free within 24 hours of booking. When this period expires, you must pay 50 EUR if the flight is within 15 days and 60 EUR if it is less than 15 days. This does not apply to Flex passengers, who can make changes at any time without being charged.
If you decide to cancel your flight, Vueling Airlines will refund you in the form of cashback or flight credits. You can do so by contacting customer service either online or by phone. If the 24-hour period has passed, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
If Vueling Airlines cancels or changes your flight, the airline will fully accommodate you.
How is the customer service at Vueling Airlines?
When booking flights, most people do not consider whether the airline provides good customer service. Besides, you won’t need to contact customer service until you run into issues.
Customer service, on the other hand, can make or break an airline. Most airlines deal with thousands of customer feedback requests every day, so it’s critical to understand whether the airline values its customers.
Vueling Airlines provides several ways to contact customer service. You can call them at their phone number or send them an email. Throughout the week, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Spanish time, the customer service team handles personalized inquiries.
Unfortunately, many online reviews state that it can take months for customer service to respond to your inquiry and resolve your issue.
